27th APRIL.
Eileen picked us up at 6.40am to drop us down to the Skybus pickup point in Albany. Within 45 minutes we were at the airport. What a great service. We left on Air New Zealand at 9.35am arriving at Coolangatta about 11.00am where Ron and Viv were there to greet us. In just a few minutes we were at their lovely home.
It was a long day with the two hours time change but got to bed by 8.30pm, had a good sleep and woke up refreshed to enjoy our first full day with Ron and Viv where we will stay for three nights before we go up to Brisbane to start our motorhome adventure
Row 7 E and F Airbus A321. Only two months old. What a great quiet plane and I took the above photo to show how much knee space we had. Fortunately we had nobody sitting beside us so I moved to the isle seat leaving the seat between us empty. More room to spread out.
Having a drink on the balcony at Ron and Viv's looking down the waterways just before the sun sets.
Lounge, kitchen dining.
28th APRIL.
Early morning looking from the balcony so calm we got the reflections on the water.
A couple of hours later.
Dave this one is for you to show you how close we are to the airport. You would love it sitting on their deck watching all the planes.
Kirra beach R & V's closest beach just a few minutes down the road.
Viv and I walked around to the next bay, Rainbow Bay while the boys went to the surf club to have a few beers.
We stayed here some years ago.
On the way home we stopped at this fish shop on the water near where the fishing boats come in with all the fresh fish. Dave you will regonise this place where you once told us to go along there for a feast of prawns 🍤 well we came back for lunch.
Looking along to the boats.
This is what we came for. Brought back lots of memories yum.
Sun going down on our second night.
